I think he was a conscious charlatan and bully and fraud.
And I think, if he read the Bible at all -- and I would doubt that he could actually read any long book of -- at all -- that he did so only in the most hucksterish, as we say, Bible-pounding way.

Hitchens will be on Baby Jesus' show tonight to "defend" his comments. I tuned into his show this afternoon (did I mention I HATE Birmingham's radio stations), and he was quite upset by Hitchen's comments. Any bets on whether he'll address the actualities of what Hitchens said, or if he will just go liberal and call them insensitive? Remember, faith is the "minority" of the right: you can't say anything disrespectful about it.
