Culture of Deception

We saw this 'Mythbusters' ripoff sign in front of a happening new-age church. It led me to ask if they're really busting myths, including their own, or just criticizing others, making it part of their overall 'culture of deception'. I like the ring of that.

On the same trip Tobermory made the Randallesque observation, "I love humanity, but I hate people."

  1. Are they going to subject the myths and claims of the bible to rigorous, independent, placebo-controlled experiments? Or are they going to just bait and switch: this is clearly a myth (ghost bridge baby) but Jesus isn't (no evidence required)?

I suggest that anyone going to this service drink mercury and drill a hole in their frontal lobe so that they can truly "get it."

  2. 'Culture of deception' is really good, did the christers come up with it? Is so, it must be co-opted.
