Oh. My. God.
As if it weren't enough that Neil Gaiman's super-creepy children's story "Coraline" is being turned into a film by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas guy). And that the movie would feature the voices of Saunders and French and Ian McShane. Now I learn that They Might Be Giants is doing the music for it. Sweet!

Yay!! Love Gaiman & Coraline. This is the kind of stuff children should be reading, instead of that awful "Rainbow Fish"-type dreck.
ReplyDeleteI was excited about this when I first heard about it, too. Selick actually dropped out of Wes Anderson's "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" when he was given the opportunity to do this. Can't say I blame him. I just read this story for the first time this past fall and it freaked me right the hell out. Considering how f'ed up most German children's literature is, Linus won't be too old before he gets "Coraline" read to him.
