*snicker* Yes, atheists, even if they are exceptionally qualified to, can't comment on ANYTHING a public figure does if his religious affiliation is mentioned. But any old nut-job off the street will do as a critic - as long as he's a noisy xster - when atheists speak up. Perhaps if we told them that this double standard "makes Jesus sad" things will change.
There's 'stupidstition' and then there's wackiness. Being an atheist doesn't mean you can't recognize when something as been made up by someone less than two centuries ago as a personality cult and identify it as such. I generally like Neil, but I got the impression that Hitch unnerved him a little.
