Really John? Could you cite me some chapters and verses in that bible of yours which directly and indisputably inspired the establishment of a democratic republic? Freedom of speech? No cruel and unusual punishment (snicker)? Any phrase of the constitution at all?
He's as intellectually and morally corrupt as his party, so at least he's consistent.

ReplyDeleteImagine how quickly the whole thing would have collapsed into even more civil wars without enlightenment principles enshrined by the republicanism and separation of powers in the Constitution and the humanist values of the Bill of Rights.
Obama seems to be the most likely protest winner since since Jimmy Carter. He may be just as touchy-feely and big government as the people we have railed against for years, but the Christians have got to be backed down.
Ironically the victory of McCain was because of the less extreme Republican fear of Baptist preacher Huckabee and all the religious nuttery he embodied. McCain will now 'reach out' to them like this.
Bob Barr is looking like the conscience vote right now.
Obama has a degree in constitutional law. For all it's worth, I think it's a vote.
