These people are so myopic that it's no surprise that they can't see the insides of their own colons. Fight that blackness Hannity!

I Loathe The Term "Missing Link"

Science has many transitional fossils, including dozens on dozens showing the evolution of humans. And while this new fossil is extraordinary and valuable, it is "a missing link," not "the missing link." The latter implies that we had none to begin with, and we do: we have museums full of them, depending on what you want linked to what.

I saw this news earlier, but I saved posting about it until I could get some opinions of actual evolutionary scientists, not crackpot science journalists who will sensationalize anything and then report objections on the most objective and consentient conclusions for "balance."

PZ Meyers has now posted about the find; it's far more enlightening and "balanced" than our beloved national news sources.

Cowardice

Looks like CNN can write a whole piece on the current French riots without saying anything of value. Nowhere in the article are the two most obvious questions addressed in a journalistic manner:

1. Who's rioting?
2. Why?

However, if you're clever enough to notice a certain phrase repeated twice, like the clumsy obfuscations of a bad liar, you can figure it out.

"sons of African immigrants," "two men of North African descent"

Just say it CNN, for fucks sake! It's Muslim immigrants, and they are rioting against the police because they don't recognize French authoritah, especially the police.

I smell the piss-soaked pants of infotainers. Can someone find me a journalist?
